Up front on the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek is a new gloss black grille with chrome accents that turns the style up a notch from the previous year. On the side and rear, you'll find black side and wheel-arch cladding, a rocker spoiler, roof rails, and unique 17-inch wheels. Also available is Subaru's latest color, Hyper Blue. Inside, the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek arrives with an incredibly comfortable interior, with a rear seat armrest and dual cup holders and handy 60/40-split fold-down rear seatbacks that add even more cargo room.  

The star of the tech show on the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek is a STARLINK 6.2-inch high-resolution touch-screen HD Radio audio system. You can connect your iPod or USB device via cord or Bluetooth connection and utilize hands-free phone connectivity. Available on some trims is a 7-inch touch-screen. Active safety features on the new Crosstrek include Vehicle Dynamics Control, Brake Assist, and the available EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. Passive features include Subaru's advanced front airbag system, seat-mounted front seat side pelvis/torso airbags, and a rollover sensor.

The 2016 Subaru Crosstrek is powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC Subaru BOXER engine with a Dual Active Valve Control System. This engine is good for 148 horsepower and 145 pound feet of torque. With the electric motor on the Crosstrek Hybrid, the power gets bumped up to 160 horsepower and 163 pound feet of torque. Two transmissions are available, a 5-speed manual transmission and a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission with a 6-speed manual mode and paddle shifters. Like all Subarus, the Crosstrek comes with Subaru's incredible Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
